Busy few days days and only now having time to write. On Friday I had counselling but felt that I did not have much to say. I felt flat, fed up and not in the mood for talking. We discussed the logistics of me going onto half pay; I am still hoping that I may be covered under sickness policies. After counselling I went to the funeral of my friend who I was in university with. After the funeral I made my way back home to pack up my car to head West for the triathlon. Average score for Friday 4/10.
Had an early start on Saturday, being in Saundersfoot by 7am, with my support crew (mum and dad). I woke up feeling ok and I was looking forward to the event. I was also happy with how it went. I felt that I could have pushed the bike more but finished with a time of 1hr 30. Not bad for my first sprint tri, 2nd every competitive sea swim and 2nd ever triathlon. It was a lovely sunny day and I really enjoyed it. In the afternoon, I ventured into Tenby town with my mum and dad and had a nice afternoon looking around the ironman expo. The evening was finished off stuffing my face with Chinese. Average mood score 6/10.
