CLASP Charity walk
3/10 – I have just been plodding along since last update. I was on ITV Wales on Thursday night which was positively received. I always cringe when I see this face on TV.
On Saturday I travelled to London to take part in the CLASP (Counselling Life Advice Suicide Prevention) charity 10 mile walk. It was great to catch up with some of the Mind over Marathon crew (Sam, Jake, Poppy, Claudia, SeSe, Chevy and Nick). I know I have said this before but the bond we have as a group is so special.
I feel like my words are not really flowing today and I am struggling to write.
Going back to the walk, it was good to meet up with so many new people and share stories. I met some totally inspiring people. I don’t realise how lucky I am.
We had many laughs on the walk, which included us (MOM crew) jumping on some Boris bikes with Bryony Gordon and cycling the last mile or two. I can justify this, as my Garmin had already recorded that we had walked 10 miles. Cycling through the streets of London back to the park on a Boris bike was one of the funniest things I have done in a long time.
It really was a pleasure being asked to be part of this day. Doing things like this to promote mental health massively helps my mood and sense of wellbeing.
